Production Associate 2nd Shift

Nesco Resource is seeking a candidate for a full-time position as an Assembly Line Worker in South Columbus. The facility is conveniently located near the bus line. The shift times are from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM with overtime opportunities. Must be able to work Saturdays.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe work environment and promoting safety practices. They will be required to monitor product quality through checks, counting, packaging, and removing defective products. Additionally, they will be responsible for stringing up the line, starting/stopping and running the line, and clearing routine jams. The candidate will also be required to remove, collect, and grind scrap products. They will prepare packaging material and equipment and perform all associated paperwork. Finally, they will assemble finished product units and assist in other areas of the plant as needed.

Job Description:

• Ability to stand 8 to 12 hrs a day. • Follows up on work assignments from Supervisor. • Ensures that any task performed within the work cell is completed in accordance with the written Standard Operating Procedure(s) for that task. • Assures quality standards are met for all production: o Records all required data. o Ensures that all material is properly labeled and, placed within proper staging/storage areas. o Identifies any non-conforming product to the Production Supervisor and Quality Assurance Technicians. • Contributes to an ongoing culture of cleanliness and order within the workstation/cell. • Comply with company H&S rules and regulations. • All other duties assigned as required. • Willing to work overtime as required. • Must be able to read a tape measure, add and subtract fractions and be detail oriented. • Basic computer skills. • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
