Production Associate ( Extrusio Operator)
11PM-730AM shift Starts on Sunday Night

Need to have
prior manufacturing exp preferability extrusion. attendance, coachability (open
to feedback), critical thinking/mechanical ability

Job Summary Manufacturing Extrusion Operator
Under the direction of the shift leader and
production supervisor/manager, the extrusion operator is responsible for
setting up and operating machinery to combine dry and liquid chemicals into
customer products. The Extrusion Operator ensures safety is their #1
priority; they produce the highest quality product at the lowest possible
costs, thereby making a significant contribution to the company's cost
efficiency, while meeting customer specifications and delivery requirements in
accordance with *** Corporation policies and procedures.


Sets up, starts and runs all
machinery, checking all controls for adherence to operating/safety procedures
and ISO standards.

Weighs ingredients to meet
recipe specification and inserts into machinery, or ensures the correct
ingredients are delivered to the work area and inserts pre-blended materials
into machinery.

Monitors production and
equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Troubleshoots equipment and
processing issues.

Operates machinery to mix,
extrude/discharge or handle materials according to operating procedures.

Examines materials visually or
physically to ensure conformance with established standards.

Experienced and capable of
working in both Food Grade and Industrial operations.

May take samples of materials
to lab for evaluation and instructions on any batch adjustments if needed.

Refers issues/problems to
Production Lead or Production/Shift Supervisor for disposition.

Performs all required machine
cleaning. Major and minor changeovers.

Completes and maintains all
required system inputs/transactions. Responsible for data integrity.

Documents work completed as
required including logs, data reports, procedures, etc.

Participates in training,
retraining and continual improvement processes and methods.

May take samples of materials
to lab for evaluations and instructions.

Follows and complies with all
safety and work rules and regulations. Maintains departmental housekeeping
standards.

Documents work completed as
required including logs, data reports, procedures, etc.

Refers issues/problem to
lead/supervisor for disposition.

Participates in training,
retraining and continual improvement processes and methods.

Completes and maintains all
required inputs. Responsible for data integrity.

Other duties/projects as
assigned.


Required Skill:

Must be able to
read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English; read and comprehend
safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and
product recipes/materials.

Must have mathematical
skill to add, subtract, multiply and divide and to apply these skills to
weights, measures of volume and distance.

Must effectively
communicate in writing and verbally in English.

Competency in computer
and PC software including email, internet, and MS office.

Must have manual
dexterity for hand tools of various types.

Must be able to drive forklift.

Must have problem
solving skills and some mechanical aptitude.
Required Education & Experience:

US High School diploma
or GED equivalency or equivalent experience

1-3 years of
industrial/manufacturing experience (extrusion preferred)
Additional Qualifications
