Job Description

The Production Associate prepares, produces, and packages blended raw materials according to customer specifications while maintaining strict standards of cleanliness and sanitation for all machines, equipment, and work areas. This role supports manufacturing operations, including kitting activities, and works with amino acids, vitamins, and fine chemicals in a controlled clean room environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, blend, and package raw materials according to established formulas and customer requirements.
• Operate production and mixing equipment safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment.
• Perform kitting tasks to support manufacturing operations, ensuring accurate selection and staging of materials.
• Ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of machines, tools, measuring equipment, and work areas in compliance with internal procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Handle amino acids, vitamins, and fine chemicals with care, following all safety and handling protocols.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) guidelines as required by applicable regulations.
• Lift and move materials weighing 50–70 lbs consistently throughout the shift.
• Use a respirator when mixing products, adhering to all fit, safety, and usage requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records related to production, cleaning, and material handling as directed.
• Work effectively on a 3rd shift schedule, contributing to smooth and continuous manufacturing operations.
• Follow all safety procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment, to maintain a safe work environment.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift 50–70 lbs consistently throughout the shift.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work safely with amino acids, vitamins, and fine chemicals.
• Capability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Willingness to work 3rd shift (8:00 p.m. – 4:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday).
• Comfort working in a clean room environment with strict cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Ability to use a respirator when mixing product, including meeting any related safety requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in general labor, warehouse, or manufacturing support roles.
• BG in kitting or material preparation in a production setting.
• Familiarity with GMP and GLP guidelines in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail when measuring, blending, and packaging materials.
• Reliability and consistency in following safety and sanitation procedures.

Work Environment

This role operates in a clean room environment that follows strict regulatory and cleanliness standards. Team members wear full jumpsuits or gowns and use required personal protective equipment, including steel toe boots and respirators when mixing product. The facility adheres to GMP and GLP guidelines, and hygiene standards require the ability to remain clean-shaven and to wear full headgear. Work is performed on a 3rd shift schedule from 8:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, in a production and warehouse setting that involves frequent lifting, handling of fine chemicals, and adherence to detailed safety and sanitation protocols.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CARLSBAD, CA.

The pay range for this position is $22.86 - $22.86/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
