THE ROLE
As a Production Team Associate at Gummi World, you will work on our active manufacturing floor operating production equipment, following batch records with precision, maintaining GMP compliance, and contributing to the team’s quality and output goals every shift. This is a fast-paced, physically active role that requires focus, reliability, and a genuine commitment to doing the job right.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Prepare, cook, deposit, and spread gummy products according to Master Batch Records (MBRs) and SOPs.
- Operate, set up, monitor, and clean production equipment including kettles, depositors, cooling tunnels, and packaging lines.
- Perform in-process quality checks: product weight, visual inspection, temperature, pH, and Brix measurements using precision instruments.
- Complete batch records, production logs, and required documentation with 100% accuracy — in real time, no exceptions.
- Enter production data and batch information into our ERP system (NetSuite) accurately and on schedule.
- Follow all GMP, cGMP, HACCP, and food safety requirements at all times.
- Communicate clearly during shift handoffs and escalate issues to your supervisor without delay.
- Maintain your work area clean, organized, and 5S-compliant throughout every shift.
- Follow all OSHA safety rules, LOTO procedures, and PPE requirements — safety is always the first priority.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required:
- High school diploma or GED; must be 18 or older.
- Fluent in English — strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in food, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing.
- GMP or cGMP experience — required or must be achieved quickly upon hire.
- High attention to detail and a genuine commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) for production tracking and documentation.
- Experience with precision measurement tools: scales, pH meters, and refractometers.
- Knowledge of HACCP, allergen control, 5S, or lean manufacturing principles.
- Prior experience in a nutraceutical, confectionery, or gummy manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for the full duration of each shift (8–10 hours) on a hard production floor.
- Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Perform repetitive hand/wrist motion, bending, reaching, and sustained visual inspection throughout the shift.
- Work comfortably in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment wearing full PPE gowning.
