Production Associate I

Job Summary
Our client, a leading meat processing and food production company, is seeking 5 Production Team Members for their Northwood, OH facility. This role involves assisting with general production and manufacturing tasks, including moving materials and assembling finished products in a fast-paced, cold-environment facility.

Contract Duration: Ongoing/long-term contract position
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:30 AM 6:00 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch, multiple paid breaks); overtime up to 10 hours/week as needed
Location: 2665 Tracy Rd, Northwood, OH 43619
Travel: None required

Key Responsibilities
- Move meat carts between production and packing areas
- Assist machine operators with day-to-day production tasks
- Remove and rewrap poultry/meat products (e.g., wrapping bacon around turkey) and repackage
- Perform general production and assembly duties as assigned
- Maintain safety compliance standards throughout shift
- Collaborate effectively within a team-based production environment
- Take on additional responsibilities as comfort and experience increase

Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods throughout shift
- Ability to work comfortably in a cold environment (approximately 32 F)
- Must wear steel toe shoes/boots
- Reliable attendance and punctuality; must complete full shifts
- Willingness to obtain industrial equipment operation certification (provided by Safety Manager)

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior general production or manufacturing experience
- Experience in a food processing or meat-cutting facility
- Comfortable working around industrial equipment

About the Role
This position is based in a factory-style meat cutting facility and requires appropriate cold-weather attire such as sweatpants, jeans, hoodies, and layered clothing. Candidates will begin with lighter production tasks and may be given additional responsibilities as they become more comfortable with the role. An in-person interview is required for consideration.
