Production Associate II (Extrusion) Second Shift

Job Summary The Production Associate II (Extrusion) is responsible for operating and maintaining machines that extrude thermoplastic materials into tubes. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities · Run Extrusion machines to established specifications · Prepares raw materials for daily production runs · Measure and interpret tubing dimensions in relation to specification · Maintains a clean and organized work environment · Operate as a team player to assist in meeting department goals · Breakdown and clean all extrusion equipment as needed · Set-up extrusion equipment according to specification · Able to identify visual defects in extruded tubing · Able to identify and correct dimensional non-conformances · Clean and polish all tooling and critical components · Measures and cuts tubing · Selects and installs specified tooling for the job · Other duties as assigned Education and Experience Requirements · High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred · 1+ years’ experience in manufacturing environment preferred Skills and Abilities · Ability to follow processes/procedures · Moves equipment weighing up to 25 pounds · Must be able to remain in a stationary position during shift · Effective communication, include speaking, writing, active listening and taking instruction · Mechanical skills, including comfort with using tools to make simple adjustments · Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of PPE) · Attention to detail · Basic computer skills Working Conditions and Physical Demands To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
