Production Associate

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Production Operator to join a food manufacturing facility in Kalamazoo, MI. This position is responsible for blending, filtering, packaging, and transporting materials used to produce flavor components. The ideal candidate will have forklift experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment.

Duties

• Blend, filter, dump, de-water, and draw products used to produce flavor components.
• Review production schedules, work orders, pick lists, and material requisitions.
• Operate a forklift to transport materials between staging and production areas.
• Accurately record material usage and inventory transactions using computer systems, scanners, and required documentation.
• Physically and electronically track product movement throughout the facility.
• Follow all labeling, weight, and packaging requirements.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and organization.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation procedures, ISO requirements, and food-safety standards.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous food-manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Forklift experience required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds repeatedly
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, handle materials
• Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
