Kalmar is seeking a highly motivated and adaptable individual to join our Production team as a Labor Pool associate. This is an entry level position and is utilized to assist in multiple areas that best support the business needs, including, but not limited to our Materials and Assembly departments. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Compensation Data

Hourly Rate: $25.22

Six month Hourly rate increase to: $26.22

Eligible for Annual Bonus

Annual Wage increases

What are your key responsibilities:

  • Perform various tasks within the Materials department, including but not limited to receiving, stocking, and distributing materials.
  • Assist with assembly line operations, ensuring efficient and accurate product assembly.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.

This position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between Kalmar and Teamsters Local No. 838.

What you bring to the role:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred, but not required.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new tasks.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing/warehouse processes.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the following capabilities:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions.
  • Endurance and mobility to work in various physical postures, including bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and reaching to access items on low or high shelves.
  • Agility to maneuver through aisles and tight spaces.
  • Ability to work in warm or cold temperatures.
