What you'll do:
The Production Associate supports manufacturing and warehouse operations by assembling products, preparing materials, operating production equipment, and handling inventory to ensure customer orders are completed safely, accurately, and on time. This role may rotate between production, material handling, shipping, and warehouse functions based on business needs. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment.
Operate production equipment and tools to cut, shape, and prepare materials according to specifications
Read and interpret work orders, measurements, and basic drawings to ensure accuracy
Measure, cut, and verify materials using tape measures and other tools
Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the production area
Maintain accurate documentation related to production and inventory
Keep workstations clean, organized, and safe, including end-of-day cleanup
Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE
Support team members to meet daily production goals
Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trucks or customer vehicles and install strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
Drive various lifting devices (e.g. forklift) to move products, equipment of materials around the warehouse, shop or yard.
Perform load-building, determining the appropriate weight, composition, and placement of load based on customer order and capacity of delivery vehicle to ensure load is balanced and safe for hauling.
Convey materials to or from storage to designated area using hand truck, forklift or other devices.
Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information so as to provide correct identification of items.
Identify damaged material.
Perform daily maintenance of equipment (pre-trip inspection)
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Communicate consistently with management, all branch personnel and customers.
Verify inventory against purchase order for accuracy.
Assists in conducting Cycle Counting to insure inventory accuracy.
Perform additional duties as needed.
