POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Line Assembler performs moderate to complex assembly and testing tasks on all JDL EVAC machines, using mechanical skills, hand and power tools, electronic tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures, and inspection measurement equipment in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities may include lock wiring, first-stage subassembly, and final detailing work. This role involves products with mechanical components and multiple part numbers, and requires active participation in lean initiatives to improve productivity and reduce costs. The position operates under general supervisory guidance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (include but are not limited to):
Understand basic electrical components and wiring; use hand tools to assemble fittings, fasteners, and electrical components on all EVAC machines; support the production of wiring assemblies; assemble parts according to directions or diagrams; rotate through the various tasks within a production process; assist with testing, including running oil through the machine; assist with console assembly; work comfortably in hot or cold environments as needed; operate heavy equipment such as forklifts; and perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
A High School diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of one year of assembly experience, preferably in the automotive industry. Candidates should bring strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and solid organizational, observational, and active listening skills. Basic math and English skills (written and verbal) are required, and candidates should be self-motivated, comfortable working independently or as part of a team, and able to pass both a drug test and a background check.
