Job Summary: The Production Associate / Operator is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and processing door products on the production line. This role requires strong attention to detail to identify defects, perform repairs using hand tools, and ensure that all finished products meet quality standards before moving forward in the manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities: Perform visual quality inspections on stacks of doors on the conveyor line Identify defects and determine repairability of doors Repair defects using tools such as glue guns, sanders, chisels, putty knives, clamps, and touch-up materials Apply materials such as Bondo, hot melt glue, putty, and paint for repairs Restack doors that meet quality specifications Separate and document unrepairable doors and place them in designated cull stacks Operate jump tracks and align/straighten doors as needed Push door stacks onto conveyor and paint booth infeed tracks Maintain reject sheets and quality documentation Assist in multiple stages of door production as required Required Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects Ability to read and interpret work tickets and specifications Proficiency with hand tools including sanders, planers, chisels, and sanding blocks Basic knowledge of wood craftsmanship and repair techniques Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment Good decision-making skills to determine repair vs rejection Ability to maintain high quality standards Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Education: High School
