The Saw Operator is responsible for operating production saw equipment to cut materials accurately and efficiently according to work orders and specifications. This role supports manufacturing operations by maintaining production quality, monitoring equipment performance, and coordinating workflow within the assigned workstation. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining productivity while ensuring quality standards are met.

What you will do::
  • Operate saws and related production equipment safely and efficiently
  • Set up, calibrate, and adjust equipment as required to meet production specifications
  • Review work orders and production schedules to ensure materials are processed accurately
  • Cut materials according to specified dimensions, angles, and quality requirements
  • Monitor production output to maintain efficiency and minimize waste
  • Inspect materials prior to processing to identify defects or non-conforming products
  • Verify dimensions, measurements, and cut accuracy throughout production
  • Conduct routine quality checks to ensure finished materials meet company standards
  • Identify and report quality concerns or equipment issues promptly
  • Coordinate workflow with team members supporting production activities
  • Assist with training and coaching team members as needed
  • Support production goals by maintaining an organized and efficient workstation
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance activities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of machinery and surrounding work areas
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
  • Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or operational issues immediately
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

  • Experience operating saws or production equipment
  • Experience in manufacturing, woodworking, building materials, or construction environments
  • Familiarity with production schedules, work orders, and quality control processes
  • Prior experience training or assisting team members in a production setting
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing and production environment
  • Exposure to machinery, dust, noise, vibration, and varying temperatures
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to lift and move materials (up to 50 lbs regularly and more with assistance as needed)
  • Ability to bend, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
  • May require overtime or extended hours based on production schedules
