Our client is a labeling contractor specializing in engineering, manufacturing, and installing pipe markers, tags, safety signs, and other asset labeling.
Job Summary
The Production Associate performs daily production activities for the operations of the Taylor, TX production facility and preventive maintenance on equipment as needed. The Production Associate also helps maintain the cleanliness and organization of the production area, transports materials, and performs various duties to assist in the efficient production of company products.
Job Description
Perform daily production activities, including operating post-digital output equipment such as imaging and laminating equipment, fiber laser, finishing products through printing, lamination, and/or cutting, cleaning materials, proofreading products, completing quality assurance checks, transporting materials, keeping the production area clean and organized, and assisting with preventive maintenance and minor equipment repairs as needed
Gains technical understanding of how each material and product is produced, and how to manufacture each item
Provides excellent customer service by communicating with customers to ensure all commitments and obligations are met/exceeded throughout the project/order, and provides ongoing support as needed to ensure the needs are met
Retrieves order files and operates post-digital output, including imaging and laminating equipment, as well as fiber laser. Ensures correct settings and material placement, including loading of material for proper feeding, and setting proper temperature, pressure, speed, etc.
Finishes the products following printing, lamination, and/or cutting. Cleans materials and proofreads products, and conducts quality assurance to ensure the production of high-quality, accurate products to meet customer specification standards
Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs when necessary
Maintains production rate consistency; meets or exceeds established minimum production rates. Works effectively on different projects simultaneously
Comply with relevant occupational health and safety requirements
Keeps the production area neat, clean, and organized

Skills Required
With production/manufacturing experience
1-2 years of manufacturing, construction, or related experience.
Technical skills related to basic equipment maintenance required.
High attention to detail; a good eye for color and design is necessary.
Proficient with computers, especially in Microsoft Office Programs.
Experience in Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
Self-motivated, able to prioritize and work independently at a fast pace with minimal supervision.
Ability to stand/walk for the entire shift.
Education/Training/Certifications
High School diploma or equivalent required
Additional Requirements
Able to pass a drug screen and background check
Reliable transportation to and from work and a valid driver's license
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
There is a moderate risk of injury
Able to lift 50 pounds and work on the feet for the entire shift
Safety equipment is required to be worn when in the production area.
Work hours may vary from the standard production shift hours, especially when production demand is at high levels, with an average of 40 hours a week
Consistent and regular attendance required
Compliance with relevant occupational health and safety requirements, company-specific safety requirements, and jobsite safety requirements is always required

Pay Rate/Salary
$19.00/hr. Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location
