Production Associate

Location: Monroe, NC
Pay: $17
Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 3:30 pm with potential OT as needed
(Saturday as Needed 6 am - 2:30 pm)
Type: Temp-to-Hire
15 minute Break at 9:30 am
30 minute Lunch at 12:00 pm

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Production Associate to join their Monroe, NC location. This position will primarily support yard operations by stacking and banding trusses, building customer loads, and assisting with material handling activities. This is an outdoor position that requires working in varying weather conditions, including summer heat.

Candidates should be comfortable performing physically demanding work and working safely in a fast-paced lumber yard environment. Individuals who demonstrate strong performance and reliability may have the opportunity to expand their responsibilities to include forklift operation and cutting Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL).

Essential Responsibilities

• Stack, organize, and band roof and floor trusses for shipment.
• Build and prepare customer loads accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials in the yard.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and cold temperatures.
• Support other yard and production functions as needed.

Growth Opportunities

Employees who demonstrate strong attendance, work ethic, and safety awareness may be trained on:

• Forklift operation
• Cutting and processing Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL)
• Additional material handling and yard responsibilities

Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, warehouse, lumber yard, or outdoor labor environments preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working outdoors year-round.
• Strong attention to safety and following instructions.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout an entire shift.
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work safely in outdoor conditions, including summer heat and humidity.
• Physically fit and capable of performing repetitive manual labor.
