Job Title: Tamale Production Worker

Pay rate: $13.00

Employment Type: Full-Time M-F (6am-2:30pm) Saturdays during the high season (October - February)

Position Overview:

We're eeking reliable and hardworking Tamale Production Workers to join our production team. Employees will assist with the preparation, assembly, cooking, packaging, and quality control of tamales while maintaining a clean and safe production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare masa, fillings, corn husks, and other ingredients.

• Assemble tamales by spreading masa, adding fillings, and folding/wrapping corn husks.

• Assist with cooking and steaming tamales.

• Package, label, and prepare finished products for distribution.

• Inspect products for quality, appearance, weight, and proper packaging.

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the production area.

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.

• Work efficiently to meet daily production goals.

• Assist with moving ingredients, supplies, and finished products.

• Perform other production duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous food production, food manufacturing, restaurant, or kitchen experience is preferred.

• Tamale-making experience is a plus.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.

• Ability to follow instructions and production procedures.

• Must be comfortable performing repetitive tasks.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.

• Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive hand movements.

• Ability to lift and move up to approximately 50 lbs.

• Ability to work in a temperature-controlled food production environment.
