Step into the heart of production

Picture your day starting with a quick walk of the line: you check yesterday’s KPIs, huddle with the team, and align tasks to hit today’s output, quality, and safety targets. You connect with the previous shift to understand what went right, what didn’t, and where to focus countermeasures for unnecessary downtime (DT). Then you set the pace—coaching, troubleshooting, and keeping standards visible and current.

What you’ll lead

  • Delegate daily work to Team Members to achieve production KPIs while maintaining safety and quality.
  • Respond quickly to abnormalities and manage process quality in real time.
  • Coordinate across shifts and with cross-functional partners to maintain flow and support problem resolution.
  • Own and understand all production requirements and work instructions; ensure Job Procedures and Visual Work Instructions (VWI) are current.
  • Develop, track, and follow through on countermeasures for DT, Quality, KPI targets, and Safety.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to restore standard conditions.
  • Ensure adequate training for Team Members; lead refresher and upskill sessions.
  • Drive assigned projects and take on other duties as needed to support the operation.

How you’ll lead

  • Provide vision and clarity: communicate the business plan and what success looks like on the floor.
  • Lead change: invite ideas, challenge the status quo, and guide the team through improvements.
  • Engage people: set clear expectations and recognize contributions—people are our most valuable asset.
  • Communicate proactively and transparently; listen actively and keep associates informed.
  • Manage talent: assess skills, teach, mentor, and give constructive feedback to elevate performance.
  • Make sound, data-driven decisions and commit to action.
  • Create alignment by encouraging collaboration and open-minded problem solving.
  • Drive results by removing barriers and staying focused on objectives.
  • Model a growth mindset: encourage new thinking, stay resilient, and learn from setbacks.
  • Engender trust by being credible, approachable, humble, and genuine; lead courageously and address conflict constructively.

Supervisory focus

  • Hold associates accountable for Safety, Quality, and Standards of Conduct.
  • Verify work is executed according to VWI and Job Procedures; recommend training when expectations are not met.
  • Coach, develop, and participate in counseling to build capability and performance.

Authority you’ll have

  • Lead and participate in corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Supervisor on Team Member placement.
  • Stop production if Quality or Safety issues arise.
  • Request and implement process changes with prior approval (e.g., equipment, software).

Qualifications

  • Leadership experience with a track record in performance management.
  • Experience using structured problem-solving (e.g., PDCA, 8D, A3).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; team-oriented and improvement driven.
  • Good understanding of robotics and automation equipment preferred.
  • Participation in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • High School diploma or GED.
