PGS Worldwide is seeking a Production Configuration Analyst in York, PA for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The Production Configuration Analyst will support manufacturing configuration control by processing Manufacturing Change Notices, reviewing technical drawing packages, analyzing Bill of Materials changes, and coordinating implementation plans with manufacturing teams. This role requires strong BOM, Oracle, Windchill/EPDM, Excel, and technical drawing experience.
Required Skills
- 4-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience reading technical drawings and Technical Drawing Packages.
- Knowledge of Bills of Materials for production programs.
- Experience with Enterprise Product Data Management systems such as Windchill or EPDM.
- Oracle experience, including Item Master, Drawing File, Bills of Materials, and Routings.
- Excel experience.
- Ability to review change documents and compare them against current Manufacturing Bills of Materials.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes such as subassembly, installation, machining, welding, paint, marking, and related production activity.
- Understanding of how to process nonconforming parts for rework or upgrade through an outside service provider.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- OBIEE experience.
- Excel coding or macro experience.
- Experience with manufacturing change processes for material control, job release, modifications, floorstock, and on-hand inventory.
- Experience with weld, assembly, and processing manufacturing environments.
What You'll Do
- Process Manufacturing Change Notices and help define implementation plans.
- Review technical drawing packages and change documentation.
- Analyze impacts to MBOM configuration, routings, assembly setup, effectivity, material flow, and work instructions.
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams to confirm current MBOM configuration.
- Lead or support team meetings to plan and track manufacturing changes.
- Provide technical input for configuration and production problem solving.
- Support accurate configuration control across manufacturing programs.
Work Schedule / Shift
- 9/80 schedule.
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Overtime expected as needed.
