Position OverviewValCorp is seeking a detail-oriented Production Control Clerk to compile, record, analyze, and report production and maintenance data supporting Fort Polk operations.Key ResponsibilitiesCompile and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, specifications, and individual production records.Calculate quantities produced, materials used, scrap, defects, and worker or department production rates using computers, calculators, and spreadsheets.Prepare production reports, detailed production sheets, work tickets, and written work schedules using prescribed formats and priorities.Maintain files of documents used and prepared and distribute work tickets or materials.Compile inventory records and prepare requisitions for materials and supplies.Order parts through the supply system and coordinate approved local purchases.Enter labor hours daily for work-order tracking and support production and management reporting.Perform other position-related duties as assigned.Minimum RequirementsS. citizen or permanent legal resident and ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.High school diploma or equivalent.At least three years of related experience, including basic computer operations.Knowledge of governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or established guidelines.Knowledge of GCSS-Army and STAMIS.Valid and current state driver's license and ability to operate a government general-purpose vehicle.Ability to obtain required licenses or certifications and, when required, a Common Access Card or security clearance.Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex team environment and meet short suspense dates.Ability to read technical manuals, technical bulletins, Army Regulations, and Department of the Army pamphlets.Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting U.S. Army combat and tactical equipment operations.Work Environment and Physical DemandsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation and use proper lifting practices.Ability to climb in and out of vehicles of various sizes and heights and work at heights when required.Work may occur outdoors in extreme temperatures, high humidity, rain, and blowing dust.Work may involve prolonged stooping, climbing, standing, or sitting and exposure to distracting or uncomfortable noise levels.Additional Employment InformationThis position is covered by the collective bargaining agreement applicable at Fort Polk.Second-shift premium is $0.75 per hour and third-shift premium is $1.25 per hour when applicable.The selected employee must comply with applicable safety rules, use required Personal Protective Equipment, and maintain required licenses or certifications.ValCorp is an equal opportunity employer.
