Production Control Coordinator

Setting/Hours: 100% In-Office | First Shift

Join trak group in partnering with a growing client in Cincinnati, Ohio that’s expanding its Manufacturing team. 
Position Summary
We are seeking a Production Scheduler to coordinate production planning activities and ensure customer delivery commitments are met. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules, coordinating material availability, monitoring manufacturing progress, and collaborating across Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to optimize workflow and production efficiency. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where accuracy and communication are essential.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and adjust production and shipping schedules based on customer demand and manufacturing capacity.

  • Determine production requirements and coordinate with operations to achieve on-time customer deliveries.

  • Manage product mix and batch sizing to optimize production output and customer fulfillment.

  • Monitor material and component availability, expediting production as needed to prevent delays.

  • Identify production bottlenecks and communicate risks and recovery plans to leadership.

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, and other departments to coordinate production priorities and material readiness.

  • Partner with direct material buyers to validate inventory requirements and production schedules.

  • Analyze inventory levels and support initiatives to reduce work-in-process (WIP), raw material, and finished goods inventory.

  • Lead weekly production scheduling meetings and communicate production status, priorities, and completion targets.

  • Support physical inventory counts and cycle count activities.

  • Maintain accurate production planning documentation and scheduling records.

  • Ensure scheduling activities comply with AS9100 quality standards and company procedures.

  • Drive continuous improvement efforts to increase production efficiency and schedule performance.
Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

  • Must meet ITAR requirements as a U.S. Person.

  • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.

  • Ability to work independently while following written and verbal instructions.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.

  • Strong mathematical aptitude, including working with decimals, fractions, and numerical data.

  • Excellent attention to detail with strong documentation and recordkeeping skills.

  • Ability to analyze production data and make scheduling adjustments as priorities change.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.

  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to support production demands.
Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance.

  • Ability to work throughout a manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, and moving between production areas.

  • Comfortable working in an industrial environment while following all safety and quality procedures.
