Production Control Coordinator

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Production Control Coordinator in El Segundo, California for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will support production operations by managing work-in-process material flow, identifying shortages and constraints, coordinating priorities with manufacturing teams, and performing production-control transactions in SAP and MES.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience supporting production, manufacturing, material control, inventory, warehouse, or related operations.
• Ability to use Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to track material requirements, inventory, and work-in-process activity.
• Ability to coordinate material movement in support of production and shipping schedules.
• Ability to identify material shortages or production constraints and assist with corrective actions.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Shipping, Distribution, and other support organizations.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to obtain and maintain equipment licensing for electric carts, forklifts, reach lifts, or similar equipment.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Skills

• SAP experience.
• Manufacturing environment experience.
• Warehouse or material-distribution experience.
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Production-control or material-planning experience.

What You’ll Do

• Use work-in-process reports to expedite materials, parts, and assemblies through production.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing to prioritize work-in-process and support contractual schedule requirements.
• Identify material shortages, production constraints, and potential schedule risks.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Material Review Board, Industrial Engineering, Shipping, Distribution, and other support teams to resolve production constraints.
• Perform SAP and MES transactions supporting production activity.
• Release manufacturing work orders.
• Receive completed parts into inventory.
• Close manufacturing work orders.
• Issue parts to next-higher assemblies.
• Obtain estimated completion dates from manufacturing teams for critical parts.
• Maintain records related to materials received, shipped, in inventory, and in production.
• Track production rates, lead times, and work progress.
• Help establish production sequence and timing needed to meet shipping requirements.

Work Schedule / Shift

• Onsite in El Segundo, California.
• Monday–Friday.
• 5x8 schedule.
• This position is not available for telecommuting or hybrid work.

Pay

• $33.55 per hour.
