Now hiring for a Production Control Coordinator

Location: Frankfort, KY

Schedule: 8 AM - 5 PM

Are you a Production Control subject matter expert with a passion for improving manufacturing operations and developing employees? We're seeking a Production Control Coordinator Consultant for a 3-6 month engagement to evaluate current processes, mentor team members, and implement best practices that drive production efficiency and on-time delivery performance. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced production environment.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
  • APICS/CPIM certification is a plus
  • Equivalent manufacturing and production control experience will be considered

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in production control, production planning, scheduling, supply chain, or manufacturing operations
  • Strong knowledge of ERP, MRP, and APS systems
  • Experience creating and managing production schedules, work orders, and inventory flow
  • Proven experience training, coaching, and developing manufacturing teams
  • Automotive manufacturing experience preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

Job Duties

  • Evaluate existing production control and scheduling processes
  • Train and mentor employees on production planning and work order management
  • Develop and improve production control procedures and best practices
  • Create and support daily and weekly production schedules
  • Monitor production performance and identify schedule variances
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, supply chain, logistics, and operations teams
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and schedule attainment
  • Support inventory planning and material flow initiatives
  • Utilize ERP, MRP, and APS systems to improve operational performance
  • Help establish sustainable production planning standards and continuous improvement initiatives

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to work within a manufacturing environment and office setting
  • Frequent computer work and data analysis
  • Occasional walking throughout production areas
  • Must wear steel-toe footwear and any required personal protective equipment while on the production floor
