Production Control
Orchestrate and monitor mainframe batch workloads, ensure that jobs execute on time, within defined service-level agreements (SLAs), and in strict compliance with business and regulatory requirements. Act as a central hub between application development teams, system programmers, and IT operations. Review and validate JCL, maintain scheduling dependencies across complex job streams, and respond rapidly to production issues to minimize business disruption. By leveraging enterprise scheduling tools and automation frameworks, reduce manual intervention and improve overall system efficiency. Beyond day-to-day operations, contribute to capacity planning and performance optimization. Analyze workload trends, identify areas of inefficiency, and collaborate with capacity and performance teams to recommend changes that can lower MSU consumption and optimize CPU utilization. This includes ensuring the scalability of production cycles as transaction volumes grow and new applications are introduced.
College graduate or equivalent experience in business or associated field. The position demands a strong mix of technical expertise, operational discipline, and business awareness. Work with a high degree of accuracy, urgency, and accountability. Effective communication with stakeholders across technical and business units is essential to ensure transparency, timely issue resolution, and continuous improvement of the production environment.
