THE WORK- Maintain and update schedules for material requirements and availability for manufacturing.- Compile and manage records detailing material quantities, costs, and types received, shipped, in stock, or in production.- Expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.- Identify potential and actual shortages, initiating corrective actions as necessary.- Leverage your knowledge in production, procurement, and engineering departments to alert appropriate authorities to potential issues and recommend remedial actions. - Establish sequences and lead times for each operation to meet shipping dates.
