    Job Description

    Key Responsibilities

    Transactional Integrity & Consumption Validation

    • Monitor production transactions to ensure material consumption is recorded accurately and on time.
    • Investigate and resolve production reporting errors, inventory variances, and consumption discrepancies.
    • Validate system transactions against physical production activities and inventory movements.
    • Ensure production completions, backflush transactions, scrap reporting, and inventory adjustments are executed according to established procedures.
    • Identify and address transactional gaps that may negatively impact inventory accuracy and planning processes.

    BOM and Data Integrity Management

    • Monitor BOM performance and identify discrepancies between expected and actual material consumption.
    • Investigate material variances resulting from BOM inaccuracies, process changes, or reporting errors.
    • Partner with Engineering to correct BOM structure, quantities, and material assignments when required.
    • Maintain documentation supporting identified issues, corrective actions, and system updates.
    • Support implementation and validation of engineering changes affecting production reporting and inventory control.

     

     

    Quality Auditing & Process Compliance

    • Serve as a transactional quality auditor for production control and inventory management processes.
    • Conduct routine audits of production transactions, material consumption, and inventory records.
    • Identify process non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
    • Monitor adherence to standard operating procedures related to production reporting and material management.
    • Develop reports and metrics highlighting process discipline, inventory accuracy, and transaction compliance performance.

    Cross-Functional Problem Resolution

    • Act as a liaison between Production, Inventory Control, Materials, Engineering, and Planning teams.
    • Lead investigations into recurring inventory accuracy issues and material consumption discrepancies.
    • Facilitate root cause analysis activities and implement sustainable corrective actions.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on transactional accuracy and process effectiveness.
    • Coordinate activities required to resolve production and inventory exceptions.

    Production Control Support

    • Support production schedule execution through accurate reporting and transaction validation.
    • Analyze production performance against schedule requirements.
    • Monitor material availability risks resulting from inaccurate transactions or inventory discrepancies.
    • Provide analytical support to supervisors and management regarding inventory and production performance trends.
    • Assist with cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and inventory accuracy improvement initiatives.

    Required Qualifications

    • Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in Production Control, Inventory Control, Manufacturing Operations, Materials Management, or Supply Chain functions.
    • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and production reporting transactions.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Advanced attention to detail and data accuracy.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
    • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
    • Knowledge of ERP systems such as Syteline, SAP, Oracle, QAD, or similar platforms. (sightline preferred but not required) 
    • Experience supporting inventory accuracy initiatives and cycle count programs.
    • Exposure to BOM management, engineering change processes, and production reporting systems.
    • Experience participating in Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement initiatives.
    • Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies and corrective action processes.
