Key Responsibilities

• Maintain schedules for material requirements and availability to support production.
• Optimize inventory storage systems and material flow.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality Control, Purchasing, and Production Control teams to resolve material receipt and distribution issues.
• Research kit shortages, expedite missing kits, and ensure accurate kit integration.
• Determine part categorization, default bin size, and storage locations.
• Research and reconcile material traceability while ensuring inventory processes meet quality standards.
• Participate in 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support projects using relevant software tools and track completion dates.
• Analyse material flow and identify opportunities to reduce request-to-delivery time.
• Pack and ship outgoing orders using UPS, FedEx, and freight carriers.
• Receive and transact incoming materials in an MRP/ERP system.
• Perform cycle counts to verify quantities, revision levels, stock locations, and material transfers.
• Expedite materials, parts, and assemblies between departments according to production and shipping schedules.
• Identify actual and potential material shortages and coordinate corrective actions.
• Work with Production, Procurement, and Engineering teams to identify potential material issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Support organizational production metrics and objectives.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with inventory operations within an ERP system.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to operate a forklift and other inventory-related equipment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
• Experience with kitting / kit integration.
• Experience liaising between manufacturing and inventory teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with material planning, inventory control, production control, shipping/receiving, or aerospace manufacturing environments.

Ideal Candidate

• The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory control, material coordination, production control, kitting, ERP/MRP systems, and manufacturing operations.
• Candidates familiar with Deltek Costpoint, forklift operations, cycle counting, material traceability, and aerospace/defence manufacturing are strongly encouraged to apply.
