South Gastonia, NC | On-siteIFAB Corporation, a 350-employee metal fabrication company, is seeking a Production Controller to own the day‑to‑day production schedule and keep customer orders on time. You'll be the central link between sales, engineering, purchasing, and the shop floor across stamping, forming, welding, CNC, assembly, and paint operations.What you'll doBuild, update, and optimize the master production schedule for all fabrication work centers based on demand, capacity, and material availability.Convert customer orders into work orders, set priorities, and communicate daily expectations to supervisors and leads.Monitor actual vs. planned output, identify bottlenecks, and drive recovery plans to protect on‑time delivery.Partner with Purchasing/Materials to ensure timely availability of raw material and components; minimize shortages and line stops.Maintain accurate production data in the ERP/MRP system (e.g., Sage 500 or similar) and prepare daily/weekly production reports.Participate in daily production meetings and support continuous improvement, lean, and 5S activities.What we're looking for3+ years in production control, production scheduling, or materials planning in a manufacturing environment; metal fabrication experience strongly preferred.Experience with ERP/MRP systems for work orders, BOMs, and inventory (Sage 500 or comparable).Solid understanding of manufacturing flows and capacity on a shop floor environment.Strong Excel skills and comfort with data, reports, and KPIs.Clear communicator who can influence across production, materials, engineering, and leadership.Work environmentOn‑site role in a manufacturing plant with regular time on the shop floor around presses, weld cells, CNC machines, and paint/assembly lines, stamping lines.#J-18808-Ljbffr
