Converting Operator – Manufacturing
Hickory, NC | Full‑Time, Third Shift 10:00 pm to 6:00 am
$21.50/Hour Starting Pay / Shift Differential $1.00/Hour Evening and Night shifts
Summary
We are hiring a Converting Operator to safely and efficiently operate water jet and punch press equipment to produce filter sheets in a GMP/ISO‑regulated manufacturing environment. Training provided.
Responsibilities
- Operate and set up water jet and punch press equipment
- Inspect materials and finished products for quality and accuracy
- Follow safety, GMP, and ISO requirements
- Complete production and quality documentation
- Package and label finished goods per work orders
- Maintain a clean, organized work area
- Work collaboratively with production, quality, maintenance, and warehouse teams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred, not required
- Ability to follow safety rules and work instructions
- Basic math, measurement, and computer skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet production standards
- Forklift experience a plus
Physical Requirements
- Stand/walk for extended periods
- Lift up to 50 lbs regularly (up to 65 lbs occasionally)
- Frequent bending, reaching, and material handling
- Comfortable working in heat, noise, dust, and PPE
