Client Overview:
Our client is a well-established company specializing in children's apparel, with a strong focus on quality, product execution, and delivering merchandise on time and on budget. Our client is seeking a Production Coordinator to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$70k - $80k DOE

Position Overview:
The Production Coordinator will support the end-to-end production process across multiple apparel categories. This individual will work closely with vendors, factories, sourcing, product development, and internal cross-functional teams to ensure products are delivered accurately and on schedule. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of the Production Coordinator:
  • Track production from purchase order placement through final delivery.
  • Communicate regularly with overseas factories and vendors regarding production status, timelines, and approvals.
  • Monitor and maintain Time & Action calendars to ensure key milestones are met.
  • Follow up on samples, approvals, lab dips, trims, and production submits.
  • Partner with the Sourcing, Product Development, Design, and Logistics teams throughout the production process.
  • Assist with production reporting, order tracking, and data management.
  • Identify and escalate potential production delays or issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production orders and vendor communication.
  • Support efforts to ensure quality, cost, and delivery objectives are achieved.
Required Experience/Skills for the Production Coordinator:
  • 2+ years of production coordination experience within the apparel industry.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience working with overseas factories and vendors.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production tracking systems.
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time in New York, NY.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Production Coordinator:
  • Children's apparel experience is preferred.
  • Open to candidates from other apparel categories including women's, men's, accessories, or private label.
  • Experience working with product development, sourcing, and cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with apparel production calendars and garment manufacturing processes.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
