Production Coordinator
Pay: $22/hr - $28/hr
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Required to work a half-day Saturday 2-3 times per month
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Coordinator to support daily manufacturing operations by coordinating production schedules, tracking work orders, managing part movement throughout the facility, and ensuring production stays on schedule. This role works closely with multiple departments to maintain workflow efficiency, support inventory control, and help meet production goals.
Responsibilities
Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Release and coordinate production travelers to ensure jobs start on time.
Monitor, modify, and release work orders as needed.
Assist with production scheduling using the company's ERP system.
Coordinate the movement of materials and parts throughout the facility.
Distribute raw materials to production departments while maintaining inventory accuracy.
Communicate with production, supply chain, shipping, receiving, and other departments to support workflow.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment after certification.
Provide backup support for shipping, receiving, and purchasing functions.
Maintain an organized work area by following 6S standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret work instructions accurately.
Ability to become forklift certified.
Willingness to work scheduled half-day Saturdays 2-3 times per month.
Physical Requirements
Ability to read production documents with or without corrective lenses.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb stairs, push, pull, and sit for extended periods as needed.
Work Environment
Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, moving equipment, forklifts, high noise levels, metal parts, dust, fumes, oil, cutting fluids, and other typical industrial conditions.
Occasional travel between nearby manufacturing facilities may be required.
Preferred Skills
Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
Familiarity with ERP systems and production scheduling.
Forklift experience is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Team-oriented with the ability to communicate effectively across departments.
