The main responsibilities include detailed cost evaluations, setting performance benchmarks, and driving cost-reduction efforts. Interaction with different departments ensures transparency in cost management and fosters strategic improvements. Daily responsibilities involve scrutinizing monthly production cost data, identifying discrepancies, and recommending corrective actions. You will benchmark assembly and fabrication costs against global standards, aiming to minimize gaps through targeted projects. Setting and maintaining cost-per-hour benchmarks for fabrication processes is a key focus, along with monthly evaluation of manufacturing overheads. Expect to engage regularly with key stakeholders through monthly review sessions to discuss cost metrics and project achievements. Leveraging your expertise in cost analysis, you will support key localization projects, facilitating financial assessments and ensuring timely project execution. You are also responsible for managing multiple improvement and cost-saving initiatives, aligning them with financial strategies and presenting progress updates to leadership. Ideal candidates will have 1-3 years of experience in cost engineering or process improvement within a manufacturing setting, preferably involving sheet metal fabrication. Familiarity with cost benchmarking, KPI management, and cross-site project leadership is essential. Advanced skills in Excel and experience with SAP or Power BI are highly preferred. Strong analytical and communication capabilities are critical, alongside a willingness to occasionally work on-site or travel. A Bachelor's degree in an engineering or operations-focused discipline or equivalent experience is required.
