Production Development Technician

Job Summary

This position is primarily responsible for assisting Application Development Engineers and Senior Application Development Technicians in demonstrating process feasibility and meeting quality specifications on client projects. The role involves transitioning client projects to production through the PReP process in a small team and collaborative environment. This is a second shift position working Monday - Thursday from 11:30 am to 10:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment setup, part production, troubleshooting, and maintenance of LSL workstations.
• Set up and operate photo etch, circuit fabrication, LSL equipment, and measurement equipment (etchers, developers, strippers, exposers).
• Utilize process control charts, and understand and chart them correctly.
• Maintain chemicals within specified limits.
• Run multiple pieces of wet processing machines simultaneously without interrupting product flow.
• Help write and maintain work instructions and job breakdowns.
• Enhance and enforce department policies and procedures, as well as work instructions and job breakdowns.
• Perform all photoetch and LSL Labs processes, including coating, exposing, developing, sputtering, etching, plating, stripping, measurement, cleaning, laminating, and backend processes like electrical testing, inspection, forming, and detabbing.
• Provide support to LSL measurement equipment.
• Analyze and interpret test data, and document and summarize activity on LSL projects.

Required Qualifications

• Clear understanding of troubleshooting techniques, safety, and processing procedures.
• Ability to interpret Truechem and make appropriate chemical additions to machines.
• Ability to read and comprehend existing documentation.
• Ability to identify process, product, and equipment trends through the use of existing reports, communication boards, and databases.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-year related technical degree with 2 years of experience.
• 5 years of relevant experience in the operation and setup of complex test or mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge and understanding of PhotoEtch, circuit fabrication, equipment, and tooling.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems and tooling.
• Ability to be self-directed and motivated.
