Production & Document Scanning Operator
Pay: $19/hr, paid weekly
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Mandatory overtime as needed

Overview
The Production & Document Scanning Operator is responsible for processing incoming mail and payments in a high-volume lockbox environment. This position operates mail extraction, sorting, and document scanning equipment while ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently, and within established production deadlines. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, and a commitment to quality and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Operate mail extraction, sorting, and document scanning equipment, including OPEX 150/IEM, OPEX Falcon, and OPEX MPS 40 systems.
- Receive, sort, and prepare incoming mail for processing according to established procedures.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify jams, misfeeds, or other equipment issues, resolving or escalating them as needed.
- Perform document scanning and image verification to ensure accurate processing.
- Complete work within established production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Perform quality checks to verify the accuracy of processed mail and scanned documents.
- Follow all operational, compliance, security, and audit procedures.
- Support general mailroom and lockbox operations as needed.
- Lift and carry mail trays weighing up to 10-15 pounds.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Meet established productivity and quality performance metrics.
- Promote a collaborative and team-oriented work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production or mail processing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
Preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in a lockbox, mailroom, document processing, or production environment.
- Experience operating OPEX Falcon, OPEX 150/IEM, OPEX MPS 40, or similar mail extraction and document scanning equipment.
