Position Overview The Production Engineer position is responsible for contributing technical expertise to ensure the operation produces product that meets all quality, cost, and efficiency requirements. This position designs, develops, and implements continuous process improvements to meet business and location goals, and provides technical guidance to plant operations teams to assist with process troubleshooting and corrective action planning.Key Responsibilities Conduct and/or participate in engineering projects.Obtain, organize, and interpret engineering data.Support operational goals in safety, compliance, quality, production, cost, and capital projects.Monitor day‑to‑day production results.Translate process to flow sheet representation under guidance.Assist in preparing engineering proposals, developing findings, drawing conclusions, making recommendations, and preparing reports.Contribute to the design of engineering projects and propose safer, less expensive, or new techniques.Meet engineering assignments within time, budget, and agreed constraints.Apply standard engineering theories, concepts, and techniques.Perform material and energy balances for key unit operations.Troubleshoot a limited range of problems using basic process knowledge and recommend corrective action.Coordinate efforts with plant operating personnel and peers, and communicate with Maintenance, Accounting, Purchasing, ICD, Suppliers, and professional organizations.Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related engineering field.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Working knowledge of packaging equipment.1–4+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.Preferred: Experience in solids handling and conveying.Experience in process engineering for capital project execution.Experience in food manufacturing.Experience with mechanical reliability and preventative maintenance programs.Benefits & Compensation Salary range: $57,500.00 – $76,700.00 – $95,900.00 USD annually.
