Boeing is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Engineering Manager to support a Proprietary Program in St. Louis, MO.

In this pivotal role as Production Engineering Manager, you will lead a dynamic team of Manufacturing, Tooling, Numerical Controlled (NC) Programming, Liaison, and Industrial Engineers, driving efforts to define, stabilize, and improve the production system. By leveraging your expertise and innovative thinking, you will guide your team in identifying inefficiencies, developing robust solutions, and implementing process improvements that enhance productivity and quality ensuring customers’ needs are met.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities in Production Engineering.

  • Develop and execute project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures.

  • Create and lead a team to execute tooling and model-based instruction (MBI) release curves.

  • Set operational goals and acquire necessary resources for projects and processes.

  • Provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvement initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and team members.

  • Oversee and approve technical approaches, products, and processes.

  • Manage, develop, and motivate employees to achieve high performance.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.

  • 1+ year of experience leading or managing engineering teams

  • Experience with production and assembly processes.

  • Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance post-start.

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.

  • Experience in the aerospace industry, particularly with military or defense programs.

  • Knowledge of Boeing's organizational processes, program plans, and policies.

  • Demonstrated ability in budget management and business process improvement.

  • Familiarity with critical path methodology and project leadership principles.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.

  • Experience with structural repair principles and systems thinking.

  • Experience with Subsystems

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Existing Valid US Security Clearance
