Production Engineering Technician 

Location: Southwest Houston area 
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Onsite) 
Pay Rate: $45.67 – $50.48/hour 
Assignment Type: Long-term temporary opportunity 

 

About the Role: A growing energy operations team is seeking a detail-oriented Production Engineering Technician to support engineering and production activities across the Gulf Coast region. This role works closely with engineering and operations teams to assist with production reporting, operational analysis, permitting coordination, and project support. 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong oil & gas experience who enjoys working with data, reporting, and cross-functional coordination in a fast-paced environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support engineering teams with production reporting, operational analysis, and project coordination.  
  • Perform database queries, data tracking, variance analysis, and forecasting using Excel.  
  • Build and maintain reporting tools, spreadsheets, and operational documentation.  
  • Coordinate permitting activities and track project timelines across multiple states.  
  • Prepare presentations, production summaries, and operational reports for leadership.  
  • Organize and maintain engineering files, well data, and related documentation.  
  • Assist with vendor documentation, service agreements, and special projects as needed.  

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.  
  • Minimum 2 years of oil & gas industry experience.  
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are required.  
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.  
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.  
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
