The Production Floater is a versatile manufacturing role responsible for supporting quality control, repairs, and final assembly processes across multiple production areas. This position requires flexibility, technical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to perform a variety of hands-on tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesQuality Control (QC) Support
Inspect components and finished units for defects or deviations from specifications
Conduct functional testing on finished products to ensure quality standards are met
Document and report any quality issues or trends
Repairs & Troubleshooting
Diagnose and repair product failures or issues identified during testing or inspection
Collaborate with technicians to resolve mechanical/electrical issues
Perform rework and adjustments as required
Final Assembly Assistance
Support final assembly of products, including installation of parts, wiring, and mechanical connections
Follow written work instructions, diagrams, and standard operating procedures
Verify assembly accuracy against specifications and samples
Cross-Functional Flexibility
Float between QC, Repairs, and Final Assembly based on daily production needs
Assist with special projects or departmental support as needed
Prior manufacturing, assembly, or technical experience preferred
Mechanical aptitude with ability to use hand and power tools
Strong attention to detail and quality focus
Ability to read basic work instructions and communicate clearly
Comfortable working in a team environment with flexible duties
Ability to lift up to 50–60 lbs, stand, kneel, and move between workstations
