Production General Labor

Position Summary:

This position works on a manufacturing / assemly line to build, inspect, and package goods. This position is responsible for assembling products, operating machinery, checking quality, packaging goods for shipment, and maintaining a clean workspace.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Good active listening, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a variety of manufacturing roles
• Manual dexterity is necessary to operate a variety of machinery and equipment
• Job training for this position is provided by department trainer

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Previous manufacturing experience is highly preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleans equipment, maintains a manufacturing area free from debris, puts away tools, and stocks the area as assigned
• Closely follows directions to operate machinery, load and unload items or materials on machinery and assembly lines
• Conduct safety inspections on machinery to ensure safe operation
• Applies understanding of machine loading capacity and loading schedule, ensuring prompt and efficient delivery of required items
• Follows production schedule and directions of Production Lead or Manager
• Reports any problems to Production Lead or Manager
• Performs other duties as assigned

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

• Work is usually performed in a warehouse and manufacturing environment
• Physical demands of the position are standing, walking, and lifting
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
