    Job Description

    Job Overview

As our firm continues to grow, we are expanding our legal team and seeking a Production Associate Attorney to join us. This attorney will handle the majority of our affirmative immigration caseload — from family-based petitions and green card renewals to citizenship applications, humanitarian relief, and consular processing.

We're looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable researching independently, isn't afraid to ask for help when needed, and is deeply committed to delivering efficient, high-quality service to our clients. If you're ready to grow with us and make an impact, we'd love to hear from you!

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage a caseload of affirmative matters, including I-130 petitions, family-based adjustment of status, I-90 green card renewals, N-400 citizenship applications, humanitarian-based cases (VAWA, T visas, U visas), and I-751 removal of conditions.
    • Handle consular cases spanning first-time immigrant visa applicants, 601A provisional waivers, and K-1 fiancé visas.
    • Conduct a thorough initial review of each case shortly after the contract is signed, identifying potential issues based on the facts presented and providing the team with a clear, well-documented list of evidence needed to move the case forward.
    • Review affirmative and consular packets prior to submission, provide detailed feedback, and approve them for filing.
    • Meet with clients as needed — primarily via Zoom or phone, and in person when applicable — to answer questions and address concerns throughout the case.
    • Provide guidance and strategic direction to paralegals and other team members on casework, escalating questions as needed.
    • Coordinate with attorneys in other departments on cases with litigation or removal defense components, advising on how developments in one matter may affect another.
    • Conduct high-level review and analysis of criminal history and its potential impact on immigration relief.
    • Draft legal arguments and filings as required.
    • Train and mentor paralegals, junior paralegals, and assistants to foster professional growth and enhance team performance.
    • Provide support to other departments as needed when attorneys are unavailable.

    Required Qualifications

    • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
    • Active bar license, in good standing.
    • Prior experience in immigration law is essential; experience with affirmative filings (family-based petitions, naturalization, humanitarian relief, or consular processing) strongly preferred.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain a high standard of accuracy across a high-volume caseload.
    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
    • Comfortable conducting independent legal research, while also knowing when to ask for help or escalate a question.
    • Strong communication and leadership skills, including experience providing guidance to paralegals or junior team members.
    • Team-oriented, adaptable, and able to adjust to the frequent changes in immigration law and policy.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
    • While not required, speaking Spanish is a bonus.
