Production Lab Technician

Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Shift: 2nd Shift Monday-Thursday - 4/10 schedule. Training on 1st shift. 
Pay: $19.50/hour

We're looking for a Production Lab Technician to support the plating process by testing production solutions, monitoring chemical levels, and helping maintain quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience handling chemicals in a manufacturing or laboratory environment who enjoys detail-oriented work.

Responsibilities

• Test plating solutions and compare results to established standards.
• Assist with maintaining proper chemical balance in production tanks.
• Record test results and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and AIAG CQI-11 quality standards.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, chemical inventory, and work area organization.
• Follow safe chemical handling and environmental procedures.
• Work closely with production to support consistent plating quality.

Qualifications

• Experience working with chemicals in a manufacturing, laboratory, or industrial environment preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow procedures and accurately document results.
• Plating or metal finishing experience is a plus but not required.
