Job Summary

 

Leads production personnel and assists plant supervision/management in the planning, set up, and production of molded OES products to achieve demand targets, quality standards and customer specifications.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Assists the production supervisor in leading shift huddles and leads the operations team in pre-shift stretches
  • Ensures each machine operator receives and understands the part information sheet for their scheduled production runs
  • Supplies machine operators with barcode labels, needed components and equipment for the scheduled shift products and orders additional supplies from the shipping and receiving department
  • Relieves machine operators for breaks and performs all aspects of the machine operator role during that time
  • Scans and shrink wraps (as necessary) finished product, ensures production data is accurately accounted for in NetSuite via the tablets and transfers the product to the dock area
  • Cleans and prepares the machine area for setup technicians to ensure the efficient changeover to a new production run, and notifies setup and maintenance of any variances that may affect quality
  • Assists machine operators in completing assignments when necessary
  • Aids in the training of new employees to ensure efficient ramp up into the machine operator role
  • Maintains frequent contact with Shipping & Receiving, Material Technicians, and Process Technicians to ensure critical information is communicated to maximize production efficiency
