    The Production Lead is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily production and assembly activities to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and operational goals are achieved. This role provides hands-on leadership to production employees, coordinates workflow and material availability, supports inventory accuracy, and assists with improving manufacturing and assembly processes. The Production Lead serves as a key point of support between production employees and Operations leadership, helping ensure employees are properly trained, production schedules are maintained, and products consistently meet established quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead daily production and assembly operations to meet safety, quality, productivity, and operational goals.
    • Direct, train, coach, and support employees on work procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
    • Coordinate staffing, work assignments, and production priorities to use resources efficiently.
    • Review production schedules, work orders, and operational needs; adjust workflow as needed.
    • Schedule and coordinate materials throughout the production process.
    • Partner with Operations, Materials, and Inventory teams to release, prioritize, or expedite needed materials.
    • Monitor production activity and communicate staffing, material, quality, and workflow concerns to management.
    • Perform cycle counts and report material discrepancies or shortages to support inventory accuracy.
    • Monitor product quality, address concerns, and ensure employees follow work instructions and company procedures.
    • Identify and support improvements to workflow, productivity, quality, efficiency, reporting, and overall production performance.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or GED required; manufacturing, operations, or production training preferred.
    • Previous production, assembly, manufacturing, warehouse, or similar experience required.
    • Prior team lead, training, or supervisory experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of production workflow, assembly processes, quality control, and basic inventory practices.
    • Ability to lead, train, coach, and support production employees in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Ability to read production schedules, work orders, assembly instructions, and related documentation.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to 50 pounds.
    • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts based on business needs.
    • Must successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings.
