The Production Lead serves as a working leader on the production floor, helping maintain productivity, quality standards, and a safe work environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting and guiding team members in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily packing line activities and workflow
- Support and guide Meat Packers and other packing team members
- Ensure packaging accuracy, labeling, and product quality
- Monitor production pace and communicate needs to the Packing Supervisor
- Oversee training new employees training within packing department
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow food safety, GMP, HACCP, and sanitation procedures
- Assist with packaging tasks as needed
- Promote safe work practices on the production line
Qualifications
- Manufacturing or packaging experience preferred
- Leadership or team coordination experience helpful
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members
- Dependable and team-oriented
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in refrigerated production environments
- Ability to perform repetitive packaging tasks
