Production Lead
Mars Hill, ME – Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

Schedule: Full-Time/Days; 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, or Full-Time/Nights; 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Pay Rate: $20.00/hr. + $2.00/hr. night shift differential

Job Description:

We are seeking a Production Lead to join the night shift at a well-established food production facility in Mars Hill. This is a full-time, hands-on leadership role with competitive starting pay and benefits available after the temp-to-hire period. The Production Lead is responsible for supporting and guiding the production team to ensure operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This role involves organizing staff to meet daily production goals, monitoring workflow, and coaching team members to follow quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a food production setting, strong leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to teamwork and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Lead and oversee production and packaging operations to meet daily goals.
  • Coordinate staff assignments and ensure proper coverage to maintain workflow.
  • Monitor team performance and provide coaching or support to maintain productivity.
  • Work closely with operations staff to identify and resolve production delays.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents and collaborate with upper management to address recurring issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce production costs.
  • Train employees on production procedures and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and operational goals.
  • Report any food safety or workplace safety concerns to QA, Safety, or FSQ personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production and team success.

Job Requirements:
 
  • High school diploma or equivalent education required; post-secondary training in manufacturing, food production, or a related field preferred.
  • Two to four years of experience in a production environment; previous leadership or supervisory experience in food production highly valued.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Background check required.
