Production Lead

Our client in Mentor, OH is in need of a 2nd Shift Production Lead.

The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations during 2nd shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production within the fabrication and welding departments. This role will lead and support a team of operators and welders, coordinate workflow, and ensure production goals and quality standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and support fabrication and welding team members on 2nd shift
• Prioritize and assign daily workloads to meet production schedules
• Monitor work quality to ensure adherence to specifications and welding standards
• Troubleshoot production issues and assist with setup, fabrication, and welding as needed
• Enforce safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Coordinate with management, engineering, and quality teams to improve processes
• Train new employees and promote continuous improvement on the floor

Qualifications:

• Strong background in metal fabrication and welding (MIG/TIG preferred)
• Previous leadership or lead experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols
• Solid understanding of production flow, quality control, and safety practices
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
