Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Purpose: Assists Production Supervisor in the oversight of day-to-day operations such as planning, problem solving, training, and troubleshooting. Sets up machines and runs equipment as required.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: • Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. • Follows all safety rules and regulations. • Demonstrate commitment to safety program.
• Trains and assists operators and production personnel on daily tasks.
• Supervises department in absence of Supervisor.
• Participates and/or gives feedback to Supervisor on employee performance evaluations.
• Develops, coaches, and mentors other production personnel to improve floor communication and productivity.
• Sets up and operates equipment to produce quality parts per engineering specifications.
• Identify and resolve machine and process-related issues, analyze scrap trends, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve quality and efficiency.
• Works closely with all departments to prevent operational delays.
• Assures compliance to safety and shop cleanliness in the workplace.
• Demonstrate commitment to the TEAM Industries Quality Management system and Objectives.
• Promote a positive atmosphere.
• Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Education & Experience: High School diploma or GED Equivalent combination of 2 years of production floor experience and/or 1 year experience in machine setup Previous supervisory experience helpful but not required
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to communicate with a variety of people both verbally and in writing Mechanical aptitude Basic Math skills, must have a working knowledge of decimals Ability to read measuring instruments Ability to read and follow work instructions Must be detail oriented, with the ability to recognize defects and non-conformities Ability to work with limited supervision Regular attendance
Training: Reference OJT Physical Demands: Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 20 lbs, occasionally lift and/or move up to 33 lbs., rarely lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand up to 100% of shift Ability to do repetitive movements (i.e. bending, twisting, walking) Able to continuously operate at a minimum of 3 hours
