Position Title: Production Lead

About the role.

Leads and supports employees in assigned work areas by providing clear directions, coaching, daily guidance and driving team's accountability. Oversee process performance and align team efforts from the start of production through full compliance with operational standards, reinforcing continuous improvement and employee development.

What you'll be doing.

  • Promotes and adheres to company safety rules, regulations, and safe work practices; monitors proper use of required safety equipment by employees.
  • Performs regular walk‑throughs of production and packaging areas to monitor operations and ensure compliance with established procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and quality standards.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of quality process concepts and techniques; apply them to ensure consistent, high‑quality operations.
  • Estimates raw product quantities in receiving.
  • Demonstrates understanding of process requirements and ensures operators consistently monitor and control line flow and blend rates in accordance given by supervisor direction.
  • Ensures proper container sizing and performs standardized product tests as required.
  • Monitors assigned production charts, records packaging machinery efficiencies and downtime, and make authorized adjustments to processing equipment.
  • Shuts down production or packaging lines as necessary; notifying maintenance of issues and accurately records downtime.
  • Overseeing and verifies the completion of preventive maintenance checks, diagnostic checks, routine adjustments, and cleaning to ensure reliable production and packaging equipment operations.
  • Orders packaging materials from storage as needed to maintain production continuity.
  • Provides cleaning chemicals to sanitation crews and monitors sanitation activities in assigned areas.
  • Communicates product cuts, change information, production changes, packaging changes, and quality concerns to operators, supervisors, and appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • MDI compliance by reviewing prior‑shift reports, identifying gaps, escalating issues to supervision, and ensuring operator handoffs are complete and clearly documented.
  • Partners with operators during CID routes to identify potential equipment defects and provide feedback on route scope, ensuring inspections are effective and appropriately aligned.
  • Evaluates and documents the performance of production and packaging trainees at 30, 60, and 90‑day intervals.
  • Assumes supervisory coverage and ensures continuity of operations during periods of supervisor absence.
  • Participates in required annual, departmental, job‑specific training and monthly informational meetings. .
  • Actively lead and verify the timely completion of monthly safety interactions for self and team members to support safe work environment.
  • Promotes a positive, cooperative, and team‑oriented work environment across individual work groups, the facility, and the company.
  • Monitors and directs tote room activities to ensure efficient workflow and processing.
  • Oversees forklift drivers comply with requirements for the proper and timely transport of tote bins.
  • Ensures tote tickets are accurately completed and properly attached to each tote prior to leaving the area.
  • Identifies and verifies product cuts and quality attributes contained in totes.
  • Records tote room efficiencies, downtime, and related operational data.
  • Orders cardboard tote bins and pallets from storage as needed to support production demands.
  • Coordinates the loading of tote bins into dumpers for processing in accordance with established procedures.

What you'll need to be successful.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Compensation Package: - Starting at $30.13 USD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts
