Production Leader

Safety & Compliance

Ensure safe work practices are consistently followed throughout the plant and address unsafe conditions or behaviors immediately.
Communicate safety concerns and corrective actions to appropriate leadership.
Conduct required inspections, including propane storage areas, open-top areas, odor-control systems, and outside operations.
Monitor noise levels and outside activities to minimize impact on surrounding residential areas.
Ensure all required safety logs, reports, and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork throughout the plant.
Production & Operations

Oversee daily plant operations during the assigned shift to ensure production, quality, and efficiency goals are achieved.
Verify staffing levels against production schedules and adjust assignments based on business needs, employee skill sets, and safety considerations.
Monitor production performance and provide direction and support when goals or expectations are not being met.
Work closely with Group Leaders and Unit Leaders to maintain effective workflow and productivity.
Drive cost control through improvements in quality, efficiency, productivity, and downtime reduction.
Step in and provide leadership coverage whenever additional supervisory support is needed.
Employee Leadership & Development

Establish a positive and professional environment that encourages open communication, teamwork, and employee engagement.
Meet with new hires and trainers to establish expectations, support the training process, and encourage effective communication.
Monitor employee training progress and provide coaching and follow-up as needed.
Identify employees interested in career advancement and partner with Group Leaders and Unit Leaders to support professional growth and development.
Monitor attendance and scheduling, identify staffing concerns, and provide staffing forecasts and recommendations to leadership.
Support Group Leaders with employee coaching, corrective action, and disciplinary matters as needed.
Conduct plant-wide or group meetings to communicate important information, address concerns, and strengthen teamwork.
Quality & Performance Management

Monitor Group Leader performance throughout the shift and ensure quality and production expectations are being met.
Provide coaching, direction, and accountability when performance standards are not achieved.
Reinforce established quality standards and processes across the production team.
Communication & Reporting

Prepare and distribute an end-of-shift summary to appropriate leadership, including information related to:

Staffing
Safety
Quality
Production
Operational concerns
Other information critical to plant operations
Maintain clear and consistent communication with Production, Quality, Talent, Shipping, Procurement, and Site Management teams.
Distribute new forklift inspection logs on a weekly basis.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and required operational documentation.
