Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
What spooling essentially is:
Setting up ("stringing up") the spooler to take finished wire
Running the spooler until the required length/weight is reached
Cutting the wire at completion
Removing the filled spool
Wrapping, boxing, or otherwise packaging the finished spool
Preparing and re‑stringing the machine for the next spool
Managing overlap in tasks (running the machine while finishing packaging)
Qualifications:
Principle duties and responsibilities:
Performs all tasks involved in the production of cable/wire. Follows standard work procedures and complies with all safety rules.
Primary work duties include:
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Physical Work Activities and Exposure: Up to 12 Hour Shift
Work is regularly performed in factory setting: concrete or metal-plated floor, noise level usually loud. Due to nature of equipment operation, must be able to concentrate, focus and remain alert for duration of shift.
Must be able to Stand 10 hours per day
Must be able to Walk 2 hours per day approximately 40 ft
Must be able to Stand or Walk for multiple hours consecutively
Must be able to Ascend/descend stairs throughout shift
Must be able to Bend frequently
Must be able to Push 19 - 21 lbs frequently
Must be able to Pull 2 - 4 lbs. frequently
Must be able to Reach frequently
Must be able to Lift 10 - 40 lbs, moving objects at waist level 200-250 times per day
Must be able to Twist frequently
Use hands to Grasp - push/pull frequently
