We are seeking an experienced 3rd Shift Production Supervisor to oversee manufacturing operations in our thermoforming and extrusion departments. This role is responsible for supervising production team members, ensuring safe and efficient operations, maintaining product quality, and meeting daily production goals.
Job Responsibilities
Enforce company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety policies, break policies, and PPE requirements to ensure employees work safely and follow established procedures.
Immediately stop unsafe activities, assess accidents or incidents, and report them to the Production Manager and HR.
Lead, coach, and develop production staff including operators, lead operators, and packers.
Provide training, mentorship, and one-on-one coaching to support employee development and performance improvement.
Ensure all production positions are properly staffed and the daily roster is completed accurately. Any additional staffing must be approved by the Plant Manager.
Conduct daily shift meetings to communicate safety updates, quality expectations, and production goals.
Attend shift handoff meetings, communicate with incoming or outgoing supervisors, and conduct daily plant walkthroughs.
Monitor employee performance and address concerns promptly.
Address employee misconduct or performance issues, including attendance concerns, within 24 hours of discovery.
Respond promptly to employee questions or operational issues during the shift.
Perform daily product inspections and work closely with Quality Control staff to ensure products meet company quality standards.
Complete the supervisor portion of the production recap report during the last hour of the shift and ensure information is accurate.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe plant environment throughout the shift.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
