Job Title: Production Machine Operator 1
Location: Simi Valley, CA
Shift: 1st Shift ;Schedule: M-F 5:00am 1:30pm

Duration: 6 Month Contract

Years of Experience (Required): 1 - 2 years

Position Summary:
Under direct supervision, the Production Machine Operator I performs straightforward tasks and operates routine production equipment and machinery. Ensures the maintenance of a safe work environment with an ultimate goal of zero accidents. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve production goals and maintain a safe and efficient production environment. Responsibilities:
" Performs straightforward set up, operation and routine maintenance of production machinery and test equipment
" Uses a range of documents to perform work, such as job travelers, blueprints, schematics, models or specifications
" Troubleshoots machines that are not at peak performance and finds solutions to problems
" Ensures adequate stock of raw materials needed for work and performs equipment maintenance per schedules
" Evaluates and verifies that production items are within tolerances and meet specifications as outlined in job documentation
" Use hand tools and precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, to ensure the quality of products.
" Collaborate with production team members to achieve production targets and meet quality standards
" Other responsibilities as assigned
" Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Qualifications:
" Experience operating machinery, preferably in a factory setting.
" Knowledge of tooling and the ability to work with a variety of materials.
" Experience with lathes, milling machines, and stamping presses.
" Proficiency in the use of hand tools and ability to perform maintenance tasks.
" Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
" Basic math proficiency
" Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints
" Excellent attention to detail
" Able to use existing procedures to perform straightforward tasks
" Effective oral and written communication

Education & Experience:
Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
